One robot policy can trade speed for richer predictions

Conceptual Flex-pi diagram: shared training supports faster action-only generation or more accurate joint visual and action generation in the reported tests.
Conceptual illustration based on the Flex-π project. One set of weights supports different generated streams; the speed–accuracy tradeoff comes from the researchers’ tests, not a universal guarantee.

Flex-π learns robot actions alongside images, 3D geometry, and object features. One checkpoint can generate actions alone or predict those visual futures too. Researchers report better manipulation results with joint prediction; the extra computation trades speed for accuracy.

Biological AI defense needs to keep pace

Radical Numerics cofounder Eric Nguyen argues that biological AI defense is falling behind advancing model capabilities. In a Latent Space interview, he makes the case for stronger defensive models; this is his assessment, not an independently measured balance.
