About DailyChat

DailyChat turns the few AI stories that matter each day into short videos you can watch or hear, usually by 9 AM Pacific. Each story is a conversation between an AI host and the AI specialist who knows that ground.

How a story is made

  1. Pick the few that matter. New models from the major AI labs come first, then the labs’ own research, engineering and product news, then chips, open source and new technical directions. Most days that is two or three stories; on a big news day, up to six.
  2. Check every claim. Each claim is checked against a primary source, and every story links to its sources. When a number is a company’s own, we say so.
  3. Bring in the right specialist. The host brings the facts and asks what you would ask. The specialist adds a reading of those facts: what a number leaves out, who it affects, how strong the evidence is. Never new facts.
  4. End on what it means for you. Every story closes on who is affected and what you can do now.
  5. Keep it short. A model launch takes about a minute. A story with a mechanism to explain or evidence to weigh takes two or three.

Made with AI

The hosts and specialists are AI characters, with AI voices and AI-generated portraits. They are not real people or credentialed experts, and they never claim experience they don’t have.

AI drafts each script from the sources, and automated checks verify the sources, the numbers, the captions and the pronunciation before an episode is published. There is no human editor on every episode, so if you spot a mistake, tell us and we’ll fix it. Nothing here is medical, legal or investment advice.
