Privacy

The short version: DailyChat has no accounts, no ads and no tracking cookies. This page lists everything the site and the podcast collect.

Page counts

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views, referring sites and page speed. It uses no cookies and does not identify you; a visit count is not a count of people. Cloudflare also delivers and protects this site and its audio and video files. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Podcast downloads

Episode links in our podcast feed pass through OP3, an open podcast-statistics service, so we can see how often episodes are downloaded. OP3 publishes only aggregate numbers; see OP3’s privacy policy. Audio and video played on this website come straight from our servers and are not counted by OP3.

Self-introductions

On the home page you can hear each host and specialist introduce themselves. The audio loads only when you press Hear, comes from our servers like any other file on the site, and we don’t track which ones you play.

Fonts

Pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google when a page opens. See Google’s privacy policy.

Saved on your device

The site may remember a few choices in your browser’s local storage, such as where you stopped in Play all. They stay on your device and are never sent to us.

Daily notifications

If you turn on the daily notification, your browser gives us a push address (a random URL at Google, Mozilla, Apple or Microsoft, depending on your browser) and two encryption keys. We store nothing else (no name, email or IP address) and use it only to send one notification per new episode. Turning it off, or blocking notifications in your browser, removes it; addresses the push service reports as gone are deleted. Opening an episode from a notification is counted as a page view, like any other.

Links

Source links take you to other sites, which have their own privacy policies.

YouTube

We publish our videos on our YouTube channel, @DailyChatAI. Our publishing tool uses YouTube API Services only to upload our own videos, thumbnails and playlist entries to that channel. It does not read, collect or store any data about you or other YouTube users. Watching our videos on YouTube is covered by the YouTube Terms of Service and Google’s privacy policy.
